Terms and Conditions

The price of the custom-made corset or garment will be given when the client makes their initial enquiry, and payment must be made in full before any commissioned work begins.

If an order is placed then cancelled within 7 days, provided the garment has not been started, Laura Whyte will give a full refund. If the order is cancelled after 7 days, Laura Whyte will refund back 50% of the full amount paid by the client.

If the client changes their mind about the style, colour or fabric for their corset or garment, these can be accommodated with no charge to the client provided the original order has not been started. If the order has been started, and the client wishes to proceed with the changes a surcharge of 20% of the original cost must be paid.

For some custom made garments an extra fitting may be advised, this might carry an extra charge of up to £50

Wherever possible, delivery will be in person by Laura Whyte. In the event that this does not happen, corsets or garments will be posted by Royal Mail special delivery and are covered against loss or damage whilst in transit.

No refund will be given on custom-made corsets or garments once the client has received their purchase.

All products are guaranteed for the life of the materials used. However, no refund will be offered for broken bones or busks. If corset care rules, (provided with the delivery of the corset) are adhered to, the busk and boning in the corset will remain intact.

If for any reason a corset or garment is faulty, it must be returned and Laura Whyte will repair the damage or replace the item. The client must first contact Laura Whyte to discuss the fault and to arrange postage of the corset or garment back to her. The cost of the postage will be refunded to the client upon receipt of the faulty goods.

The time scale given to complete commissions must not be regarded as an absolute guarantee. Although Laura Whyte will make every effort to complete the commission within the time scale indicated, she will not be held liable for delays in completion due to reasons beyond her control.

If you decide to commission a wedding dress, a £150 non-refundable deposit should be paid at our first meeting.

The price of a wedding dress, and or, wedding garments will be discussed between Laura Whyte and the client at the first fitting. The bride should indicate an approximate budget for her dress when the non-refundable deposit is paid at the beginning of the design process. Following the first fitting Laura Whyte will supply the bride with an invoice based on the discussed price, to be paid in full, at the following fitting when all designs are finalised.

Any reasonable changes can be accommodated up to six weeks before the delivery date of your wedding dress. If for any reason alterations need to be made after this time, for example due to weight loss or gain, an extra £50 would be charged.

All wedding dresses and wedding garments remain the property of Laura Whyte until paid for in full.
